History

Proton Competition stands among the most distinguished names in modern motorsport. Over the past three decades, the team competed all over the globe, in some of the world’s most famous races, and celebrated remarkable success in doing so. Established in 1996 by Gerold Ried, Proton Competition has since evolved into a global, multi-series operation, fielding prototypes and works-supported GT3 programmes under the leadership of Michael and Christian Ried.
