Founder and team boss Christoph Huber is stepping down from the operational side of Huber Racing with immediate effect.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

After a decade at the helm of Huber Racing, founder and team boss Christoph Huber has decided to step down from the operational side of the business with immediate effect. The long-standing managing director can look back on ten intense but also successful years in which Huber Racing, founded in March 2016, has become an integral part of motorsport and especially in the Porsche Cup scene. Today, Huber Racing (Proton Huber Competition) is the oldest team still in existence and the most successful of the last ten years. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Statement from Christoph Huber:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

„Unfortunately, after ten years, a whole decade, I am no longer able to perform my duties as managing director to the standard I expect of myself. I have therefore decided to step down from operational business at my own request. Of course, it is a shame and sad to let my baby go on its own after such a long time. But the team has proven that it can cope very well without me and master the tasks very well. Quite a few people will be disappointed in me, which I can well understand \u2013 and I have to live with that. But now the time has come for me to focus a little on myself and my health. And to recharge my batteries for the tasks that await me in the future. I would also like to say thank you to the hundreds of people who have accompanied me and the team on this journey, or at least part of it, and who have supported us and actively helped us over the last ten years. But one thing is very clear to me: once a racer, always a racer.“<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Statement from Christian Ried, Proton Competition (majority owner):<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

„We would like to thank Christoph Huber for his tireless dedication to Huber Racing over the past ten years. His commitment, passion and leadership have had a significant impact on the company. We wish him all the best for the future. Even though he has now stepped down from operational business, Christoph Huber remains an important part of the sporting success of Proton Huber Competition and will continue to support us with advice and assistance whenever we need him. However, the structure and motivation of the individual departments within the team are good, and I am convinced that we will continue to do a great job. We are only halfway through most of the championships and we still have a very demanding year ahead of us.“ <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Huber Racing team is looking to the future with confidence, supported by the strong foundations laid by Christoph Huber over the past years. Currently, the team renamed Proton Huber Competition is competing in three categories in the Porsche Sixt Carrera Cup Deutschland title race. The racing team from Hofkirchen also leads the Michelin 24H Series European Series with one weekend to go before the season finale. In addition, the team is still in contention for the title in the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup and the Porsche Sprint Challenge Suisse thanks to victories and podium finishes. In the Michelin Le Mans Cup, the Iron Dames women’s team has been unlucky so far, even though the pink Porsche has impressed with its good speed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
