Proton Competition returns to Asia for 2025/26 Asian Le Mans Series

Proton Competition is set to embark on its third season of Asian Le Mans Series competition as the 2025/26 season kicks off. The championship, which takes in six races held across three different racetracks, begins on the weekend of 12 to 14 December.

The first destination on the calendar is Sepang International Circuit in Malaysia with a pair of four-hour races on 13 and 14 December 2025. The championship then moves on to the Middle East in the new year, with Dubai Autodrome and Yas Marina Circuit both hosting four-hour double-headers on 31 January and 1 February and 7 and 8 February respectively.

The team from southern Germany will be entering a pair of Oreca 07 for a renewed tilt at the overall championship. Piloting the #22 machine will be Jonas Ried and Felipe Laser along with a third driver who will be confirmed at a later date.

The second LMP2 entry features the legendary Felbermayr livery that has been such an important part of Proton Competition’s history. Behind the wheel of the #88 Oreca 07 will be Horst Felbermayr Jr, Horst Felix Felbermayr and Lorenzo Fluxa.

In the GT class, Michael and Christian Ried’s team will be competing the #77 Porsche 911 GT3 R driven by Harry King and the Japanese pairing Kiyoto Fujinami and Bankcy.

Armed with several seasons of experience in the series, Proton Competition will look to go one step further than their runners-up finish in LMP2 in 2023/24 and claim Asian Le Mans Series silverware in 2025/26.

Fans can follow every moment of the action, as the entire season will be streamed live and free on the Asian Le Mans Series YouTube channel.
