Setting sights on points and podiums at Spa
The FIA World Endurance Championship reconvenes for the next chapter of the 2026 season, the 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps, from 7 to 9 May. The second round of the championship marks Proton Competition’s fourth race across five consecutive weekends – and a key opportunity to build on the positive foundations established by their pair of Ford Mustang LMGT3 entries at the season opener in Imola.
Christian and Michael Ried’s team travel to Belgium with good omens after their LMGT3 podium at the 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps in 2025. Ben Tuck, who will be sharing the #77 Ford Mustang LMGT3 with Sebastian Priaulx and Eric Powell, is looking forward to getting out on track at a circuit he loves.
“There’s no doubt that Spa is one of my favourite circuits, so I can’t wait to get going,” said the 29-year-old Brit. “Last year we showed really great potential with a great result and the whole team is looking to build on that momentum. After our top-10 finish at the first round in Italy, we know that we have a strong package. If we perform to our best, we will be in the hunt for the podium once again.”
In the sister #88 Ford Mustang LMGT3, Stefano Gattuso, Giammarco Levorato and former F1 driver Logan Sargeant will be aiming to lay down a marker with another strong qualifying performance and solid points haul after a promising weekend last time out in Italy.
The latest round of the FIA World Endurance Championship at the legendary seven-kilometre circuit in the Ardennes hills is traditionally one of the best attended on the calendar and is once again expected to attract a bumper crowd this year. Fans looking to follow the action from home can catch both qualifying and the race live and in full on FIA WEC+.
